The Red Notebook follows the journey of a single notebook as it passes through the hands of several extraordinary women. Transformed by the power of the written word, each of their stories is told through a blend of circus, dance, theatre and magical realism.

This full-length theatrical show is the creation of the 2018 Ring Masters Program, a collaboration between the Junior, Intermediate and Senior student groups. Directed by Ryan Mellors, the cast of artists has worked to create an inspired blend of traditional circus and storytelling, featuring new solo and group acts devised by the Ringmasters during the six month production process.

The Venues

The Grand Room

The main floor of the original cinema theatre has been redesigned as a cabaret-style showroom, with individual tables grouped on four levels, all with excellent sightlines to the stage. The capacity of the Grand Room is 300.

The Grand Room is perfect for corporate or fund-raising dinners, stage show presentations, and cultural events. The facility may be booked for sales rallies, product launches, employee appreciation nights, company Christmas parties and, of course, wedding receptions. Ethnic groups are also encouraged to use the Grand Room for such events as multi-cultural dinner shows and gatherings.

The Baby Grand Room

The upstairs floor was added when The Columbia became "twin cinemas" and has just been completely renovated to provide a fabulous 200-seat venue with full facilities. The Baby Grand Room is the new home of LAFFLINES Comedy Club evenings from Thursday through Saturday. During other times the venue is available for corporate, community and private events - wedding receptions are a specialty

The Baby Grand Room is accessible by elevator from the main lobby.
